While both involve systematic investigation, they may serve different purposes, employ different methodologies, require different social-emotional skills (Emotional Intelligence - EQ), and cater to different audiences. Understanding these distinctions is crucial for researchers, evaluators, and policymakers alike, enabling more effective collaboration and ultimately fostering more impactful real-world initiatives and significant advancements in various fields. This blog aims to clarify these distinctions and highlight how they complement each other in advancing knowledge and improving practical applications.
Academic Research: The Pursuit of Knowledge
Academic research is driven by the quest for new knowledge, theories, and insights. Researchers formulate hypotheses, conduct experiments, and analyze data to contribute to the broader academic discourse.
